Bryce Yerman here. Thanks for sending us your card. We had not, until now, seen your art. It reminds me of some of the wonderful Mexican art my wife and I have an eye for. I hope your plans go well.

My, My, Melanie! You are the work of art, alive and continuous on this lifelong canvas. What a thrill to be one hue chosen from the pallet of encounters in you life’s journey. I hope you find continuous and expanding utility for this hue from your growing spectrum of relationships … You, Lovely woman, are a precious treasure!

Thanks for coming to hear (and dance to) the CheekTones, and for sending me to your website. You have an amazing eye for attitude, as in “The difficult Kind and Latina Baila”, and I love all the colors. What a gift you have…I’ll see you out in the night.

Melanie-What more can I say? Your art speaks to me in a way I can't express. Beauty, tenderness, loss, rising from the ashes. I have never seen art I wanted for my own until now. I'm so glad I met you. You've touched so many lives in your short time here and I hope you will heed the call of Ajijic and come home when the time is right. I'll be here waiting with open arms. ...

Ms. Banayat, Your body of work is inspirational, your Mother & Child painting brings Ludwig's 'Ode to Joy' to my ears.
Carry on,

I want you to know that I've enjoyed your friendship as well as the "art chronicles of Melanie" over the years. After the last trip, and seeing how big your kiddos, erm, 'tweeners' are. It's amazing to me how you've been able to capture so much of their youth, and your own emotions, on canvas. Although Guadalajara has been inspiring for you, and another chapter is closing, John and the kids and I are excited that you are moving back to the States AND SO CLOSE!!! Mel, the living room wall is still vast, and still blank - might you be inspired to do some sort of quasi - floral Mo' art piece? Hope to see you soon. Safe Travels!

Melanie,
I love your work. It is so beautiful. I read your bio and I think it helps you to tie your life into your art. It really shows your trials and tribulations that you have battled with.

Melanie, keep doing what you are doing. Painting, for you is healing. While your work shows your wounds the results are payment for living in this world. Please stay in touch - Love ya, 'Tettah'

Thank you for "Holding On". As I told you of my experience, forgiveness made the difference - now put that on canvas. You show me the past in repair.

Hey, Melanie, I'm impresionado by your art. Each and every painting is amazing! I loved every one, but the one which touched my heart was "Holding On" for it's history, the forms and sensuality that it has...
Felicitaciones. Sincerely, Willie
